Welcome to AESC 2011 Hong Kong
and the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Hong Kong Neurosurgical Society

On behalf of the Asian Epilepsy Surgery Society and the neurosurgical community of Hong Kong, I would like to invite you all to the 5th Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress cum the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Hong Kong Neurosurgical Society to be held on November 9 to 12, 2011 in Hong Kong.

For the past few years, the Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress (AESC) has been an important rendezvous for clinicians and surgeons devoted in the management of patients with epilepsy. It has become a forum conducive to productive exchange and interaction among professionals of different specialties from the region. Such collaboration will certainly benefit the thousands of patients suffering from the disease.

With your support and contribution, we are poised to provide you with a sumptuous program that covers various aspects related to epilepsy and its surgical management – from research to clinical practice, from presurgical workup to long-term quality of life assessment. A comprehensive program in neurosurgery will be included in the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Hong Kong Neurosurgical Society. This has long been the highlight activity for local neurosurgeons and I call for the participation and contribution from surgical colleagues among you.

Hong Kong is known to many as the 'Pearl of the Orient'. I promise you, apart from a good feast in academic exchange, an impeccable experience of our warm hospitality, great food and glamour of one of the major metropolis in this part of the world.

We look forward to seeing you all in November!

Yours sincerely,

Dawson Fong
President,
5th Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress
